As a cartographer and outdoor enthusiast, I split my time between the mountains and a computer–trending mostly to the computer end of things, unfortunately. Whether in the mountains or at a computer, I feel like I spend most of my life picking my way through downfall. Either fallen trees on the trail or sticky geoprocessing puzzles, both take care to work around and provide ample time to think. The platforms controlling the internet in 2026, with their greedy algorithms and AI-slop mind hijacking tendencies will be our downfall. I guess this is my way of resisting that. ha.
